Overview and Benefits


Eban Centre for Human Trafficking Studies will be granted unparalleled benefits in access to nonpartisan forum through which they can engage with and gain significant insight from experts in international affairs.

Members have some level of access to world leaders, senior government officials, and prominent thinkers and practitioners in academia, policy, and business, many of whom are members themselves. Eban has dedicated to the facilitating an intellectual exchange of ideas through expert panel discussions, symposia, live streams and CEO forums exclusively for members.

Through the exposure to Eban's publications, briefing materials and content for Eban, members benefit from an expansive collection on unmatched intellectual capital and resources.

ECHTS's membership ranks include many of the most prominent leaders in the foreign policy arena.

Volunteer opportunities for college and graduate students who are pursuing a career in foreign policy or a related field.


Eban Centre for Human Trafficking Studies, ECHTS, seeks quality, diversity and balance in its membership. Criteria for membership include intellectual achievement and expertise; degree of experience, interest and current involvement in Security, Trans- National Crime and Social Work amongst others; promise of future achievement and service in the above fields; potential contributions to ECHTS; desire and ability to participate in ECHTS activities; and standing among peers. New ECHTS are elected twice.



Eligibility Requirements


  • Membership is open to all nationals and permanent residents who have applied to become citizens. Permanent residents must submit a statement indicating the date of their formal application for citizenship. The statement should be emailed to communications@ebanghana.org.

  • ECHTS visiting fellows are prohibited from applying for membership until they have completed their fellowship tenure.

Candidates should email communications@ebanghana.org to request the online application for membership. The email should include the following information:


  • full name

  • title and affiliation

  • date of birth

  • citizenship status (see Eligibility Requirements above)

  • type of membership for which the candidate is applying

  • date or dates of previous applications for membership, if applicable

  • email address to which the link to the online application should be sent
  • contact information

  • CV




Annual Deadlines and Notification


The annual membership application are on rolling basis throughout the year. All membership candidates and their letter writers will receive notification of the election decisions in late June for the March 1 deadline, and in mid-March for the November 1 deadline.
